When we first came here, we weren’t really sure what to expect. We had been thinking about traditional funerals and memorials, but we didn’t know what the right way would be for us to say goodbye to Mum.

From the moment we walked through the door, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and the care and accommodation we received was something we hadn’t expected.

The ceremony itself was beautiful. Returning Mum’s ashes to the earth felt like such a meaningful way to honour her. We were able to place some of her ashes and soil into her final resting place, making the ceremony feel very personal and connected to the earth.

What made the experience even more special was that all of the grandchildren were able to take part in the process. Everyone was included, and it gave the whole family a chance to be part of Mum’s final farewell.

We came not knowing what to expect, but what we experienced was something completely unexpected and incredibly meaningful.
